Since everybody is posting this video of Emma Watson speaking at UN, I should probably watch it. I am glad to see a celebrity using her publicity for causing awareness to a worldwide problem. No feeding of poor children, no walking over mine fields and no visits in refugee camps. Emma Watson addresses the core of these problems: GENDER EQUALITY. The young lady turns 25 next year. This might explain, why she and others of her generation insist on a fresh and positive meaning of the word FEMINISM. Which is good, since it has been lingering in muddy waters for too long and its time has come to shine again. Because, we all should not forget what the expression also stands for: dignity, creativity, education, curiosity, sensitivity, equality, LOVE. No need to blame anyone or find the reasons for INequality, but loads of reasons to MOVE forward. I am herewith quoting Emma and so many other brave people: „If not me, who? If not now, when?“. So please, NOW, YOU, take action and sign The HeForShe Commitment. Equaly important, please make the effort and try to be conscious in your everyday life. Please, never stop helping us with our coats and hold the doors for us – ‚cause we do appreciate it – but also, listen to us, respect us, consider us. We count. And please, support us. Let’s do this thing TOGETHER!
