He for She

Since everybody is posting this video of Emma Watson speaking at UN, I should probably watch it. I am glad to see a celebrity using her publicity for causing awareness to a worldwide problem. No feeding of poor children, no walking over mine fields and no visits in refugee camps. Emma Watson addresses the core of these problems: GENDER EQUALITY. The young lady turns 25 next year. This might explain, why she and others of her generation insist on a fresh and positive meaning of the word FEMINISM. Which is good, since it has been lingering in muddy waters for too long and its time has come to shine again. Because, we all should not forget what the expression also stands for: dignity, creativity, education, curiosity, sensitivity, equality, LOVE. No need to blame anyone or find the reasons for INequality, but loads of reasons to MOVE forward. I am herewith quoting Emma and so many other brave people: „If not me, who? If not now, when?“. So please, NOW, YOU, take action and sign The HeForShe Commitment. Equaly important, please make the effort and try to be conscious in your everyday life. Please, never stop helping us with our coats and hold the doors for us – ‚cause we do appreciate it – but also, listen to us, respect us, consider us. We count. And please, support us. Let’s do this thing TOGETHER!

Carpe Diem

Easier said than done. robin_williams Find more pictures HERE and HERE. And watch THESE movies too. And please? Try to smile as much as you can. Especially, when you cannot stand yourself and your world is crumbling, and you think, no one understands or – worse – likes you. There are a few more of your kind out there. Just usually very quiet and withdrawn and sometimes lonely. But I find, it is worth to keep looking out!

The 5th Element is one of my all time faves. And had I ever watched a Star Wars movie, it probably would have occurred to me earlier. Luc Besson was born in 1959 and started to write on the script as a teenager. The first episode of Star Wars was released 1977. Anyone can tell me what the character on the right is called (she must be a dancer, judging by her calves and the pointe shoes)?

Secretary

Lately I have been stalking and obsessively-compulsively liking their posts on every possible channel: PRESENT & CORRECT, a UK based company that is selling office supplies. I mean. Besides having had this fantastic idea, they are neatly feeding their Facebook and Instagram accounts and I seriously wish they open a shop in Switzerland. I think, this is a serious enough reason to go visit London, soon. Don’t you? P1090465 The movie that fits to this post is a tiny bit about obsessive-compulsive behaviour too. Plus two of my very favorite actors play in it. Watch the TRAILER. Do it.
